Shooting for the official WGNZ17 media team, including images for press and sponsors as well as marketing.
Winter 2017 brought with it many new opportunities, being invited to join the official WGNZ media team being one of them. Shooting events in the snow is much like shooting a bike event, such as Crankworx, only much colder, harder to get around, and much more dependent on the weather.
We were treated to some great days, and some rubbish ones. A highlight for me was watching the Kiwis beat the Aussies in the Ice Hockey, and a lowlight was getting caught at the top of The Remarkables skifield in a white-out and struggling to find my way down.
It was awesome to be able to capture the worlds top winter athletes here in New Zealand.
Even made back page of the paper with one of the shots. Imagine that.
